I can hardly believe we’re already halfway through the year which is a sure sign I'm getting older! This week, I’ve got another rich collection of stories to share with you, including some familiar favorites, plus a few ‘newbies’ as I explore a few different themes here on Substack.

Here in this post Kristi raises some great points. Like many people, I have bounced across multiple platforms, Twitter, BlueSky, LinkedIn and now here. Throughout the journey, my home base has always been my Wordpress blog page, which still continues to grow way beyond my original expectations. A comfortable home base is a must in my opinion, but with over 60 comments on a really popular post, not everyone will share the same opinion as me, so why not check it out.As I promised, I have started to explore some alternative ‘themes’ here on Substack and as a retiree myself, I absolutely loved this post which was highlighted by

—Eddie was such a determined and intelligent young man! It's unfortunate that his promising legal career was cut short following his courtroom clash with Alexander Hamilton Webster. Truly a remarkable tale. That’s all for this week, folks! Oh, and before I sign off, I’m going to break with tradition and recommend a TV series! I’ve never done this before, either here or anywhere else online. To be honest, I don’t usually watch much TV. But Dept. Q on Netflix might just be the best thing I’ve ever seen on screen. The writing is superb—the dialogue and the chemistry between the main characters are absolutely spot-on. And Akram, the main characters sidekick, is one of the most memorable characters I’ve come across in a detective series.
“I am Akram.”
Another great collection, thanks Paul and, yes, I agree Dept Q is a must see!
Love this curation by you week. And appreciate the inclusion again!
