The Chiddicks Observer 6th Edition
Are we really at week 6 already? Here are just a few examples of what has caught my eye this week in the wonderful #Substack world of #Genealogy
The Ancestral Women 31-Day Challenge has seen some really emotional and poignant stories and I have decided to pick something a little bit different to share with you as I absolutely love what Kirsi Dahl has done with her Defining Moments: The Women Who Shaped My Family Tree a truly innovative way to share those inspirational women on her tree!
I have said this many times before, Lori Olson White is a truly exceptional and inspirational writer and if you havent caught up with her latest series the Show Must Go On then I urge you to give it a read. It’s so much more than a story about a circus family, go on give it a read.
Bill Moore Shows you strategies on how to attack that brick wall and locate that elusive ancestor that just doesn’t want to be found!
Great advice for ALL writers regardless of experience from Denyse Allen
Who doesn’t love a murder mystery who done it! What a truly great story and mini-series from Jane Chapman , the plot thickens as they say!! I have to say the best use of AI generated images that I have seen these are truly amazing and bring this story to life!! Can’t wait for part three!
More tales from Jennifer Jones as she shares with us the difficult times that were faced by her 2x great-grandfather Thomas Waters, these are a heartbreaking read, but give a real glimpse of what migration would have been like.
We finish with something a little different from JenealogyScrapbook and something that we all would have experienced no matter where we were in the world.
That’s it from around the world this week, look out for more great reads next time…….

Thank, @Paul! You’ve gathered some great reads again this issue, and I’m honored to be included.
Like you, I started the research for Blanche’s story thinking it might be a cool circus story - fun, right? But the more I dug, the more I came to see it as a story with a lot more to say.
Appreciate the link to my post. Cheers!
